'THE GRIPPE' LP
The Grippe is really excited to announce the completion of their first full-length self-titled CD. THE GRIPPE LP includes 12 tracks of original material showcasing their blend of instrumental funk, jazz, soul, and blues. The disc is full of the many sides of the band from heavy organ funk, to rippin bass synth lines, beautiful guitar work, heavy drumming, and intricate percussion.
THE GRIPPE LP was recorded over 4 days sessions in early 2009 at Morningwood Studios in Fort Collins and mastered at Airshow Mastering in Boulder by Grammy award-winning engineer, David Glasser (Dave Matthews Band, Adrien Belew, String Cheese Incident). Lending a final touch to the overall sound was Dominic Lalli (The Motet, Big Gigantic, Juno What?!) on saxophone for the track entitled ‘Lucid.’
To celebrate the release of their first CD, The Grippe will be performing at Conor O’Neills in Boulder, CO on 11/06 and Hodi’s Half Note in Fort Collins, CO on 11/07 for free. The CD will be available for download via iTunes, DigStation, CD Baby, and other digital outlets.

Yep, we changed our name...well, kinda. 'The Grippe' is the original slang word for Influenza and is the original spelling where the name came from. So, for various reasons, we went back to that spelling. Ask us the next time you see us if you need to know more.
